St Mary's Church Events

St Mary's Church provides a delightful and charismatic venue for purely acoustic performances. 

It is only a short distance from the railway station and town centre shops.

There is parking at the church for blue badge holders, accessed via High Street then Church Hill as Church Hill is one way to the church entrance.

There are toilets in the adjoining church hall.

Sunday

Sunday morning at 10.30am there is a Folk Church Service, with singing, and dancing by a variety of sides.

Final Closing Concert at 7pm.

This year we are delighted to present

Chris Newman & Máire Ní Chathasaigh

A delightful mix of music across many styles, from traditional Irish airs and reels, though ballads, folk, rock and even a dash of jazz is a possibility. Chris is a master of the guitar and Máire's fingers defy physics with the speed she plucks the strings of her beautiful harp.

Think O'Carolan and Django Reinhardt and all styles in between.
